Average glandular dose with full-field digital mammography - Clinical results

摘要
The goal of this study was to determine the average glandular dose with a full-field digital mammography (FFDM) system using a flat-panel X-ray detector based on amorphous silicon technology. The study was performed using the FFDM unit Senographe 2000D (GE Medical Systems). The number of women was 591 and the number of exposures was 1116. The mean average glandular dose was 1.51 mGy for a single view. In comparison with conventional screen-film mammography FFDM needs about 25% less dose.
