The synthesis and biological activities (antiinflammatory, antibacterial and antifungal) of a number of 2,3-substituted 4-thiazolidinone derivatives are described. The compounds showed antiinflammatory activity ranging from 61.53% to 83.07% whereas reference drug ibuprofen showed 83.07% inhibition at 100 mg/kg oral dose in this test. All these compounds showed significant antibacterial and antifungal activity when compared with standard drugs amikacin and fluconazole.
