Synthesis and reactions of highly sterically hindered organosilicon compounds of the type (Me3Si)3CSi(C6H4-OMe-p)MeX and (Me3Si)3CSi(C6H4-Me-p)MeX

摘要
Direct nucleophilic displacement of TsiSi(C6H4-OMe-p)MeI and TsiSi(C6H4-Me-p)MeI with nucleophiles take place. These compounds also react with electrophiles such as AgOAc and AgNO3 to give rearrangment products, for example (Me3Si)(2)C(SiMe(2)OAC)SiMe2 (C6H4-Y-p) (Y = Me, OMe). The hydrides and bromides of these compounds were also synthesised.
