The thermal aspects of a series of suspension PVC samples, polymerized at different temperatures, have been investigated using DSC, WAXS, and dielectric measurements. The observed thermal behavior, extending over a wide temperature range, is in line with the presence of ordered entities, having a wide distribution of size and perfection. The importance of small variations of the syndiotacticity on the crystallizability is demonstrated by cooling experiments. (C) 1994 John Wiley & Sons, Inc.
