TIME MANAGEMENT IN PROJECTS: A CASE STUDY IN A COMPANY THE INDUSTRIAL POLE OF MANAUS, BRAZIL

In the information age, organizations find themselves immersed in a dynamic environment and in full transformation. The speed in identifying the demands and turn these demands into products is critical to success. In this scenario with limited time and resources, the application of the techniques of project management emerged as one of the answers. The goal of project management is to ensure that only the work required is done to deliver the product or service meeting the constraints of time, cost and quality. With a focus in knowledge area of time management, this research presents a case study of an organization in the industrial sector, which aimed to evaluate how the time is managed in the projects of the product engineering team, in order to contribute with suggestions for improvements. The search result brought improvement points in the way the organization researched deal with time management while comparing the methods currently in practice with best practices found in the literature review.
