摘要
This article aims to contribute to the debate about the historical-critical pedagogical practice in Physical Education classes from elementary school. To this end, we have conducted a reflection about the characteristics and challenges of Physical Education at this level of education, as well as socialize a pedagogical experience developed during the classes of this subject with "capoeira" content. The educational work grounded in historical-critical pedagogy has approached the socio-historical development and the main elements that characterize "capoeira", treating it as a big cultural manifestation from African-Brazillian origin.
