A convenient method was developed for the combinatorial synthesis of substituted (5aS)-2-benzylthio-3-cyano-4,5a,6,7,8,10-hexahydro-5H-pyrrolo[1,2-a]thieno[3,2-e][1,4]-diazepine-5,10-diones. The structure and the most probable conformation of (5aS)-2-benzylthio-3-cyano-4,5a,6,7,8,10-hexahydro-5H-pyrrolo[1,2-a]thieno[3,2-e][1,4]diazepine-5,10-dione in solution was established by NMR spectroscopy and calculations using the Gaussian program. © 2021, Springer Science+Business Media LLC.
