摘要
A mathematical model of the reaction between dimethyl carbonate and alcohols in the presence of Co2(CO)8 and W(CO)6 has been developed. The proposed scheme for the reaction and kinetic models for each catalyst have been developed. A general scheme for the reaction between dimethyl carbonate and alcohols based on kinetic models has been developed. Active metal particles are formed from metal complex catalysts. These particles interact with dimethyl carbonate and run the catalytic cycle. Alkylmethyl ethers and alkylmethyl carbonates are the reaction products. The kinetic model shows the formation of ROCO2Me in the case of the catalyst Co2(CO)8, and ROMe is formed in the case of W(CO)6 as catalyst, which agrees with experimental data.
