摘要：
Die MRT des Kniegelenks bei Verdacht auf Erkrankungen des Meniskus gehört mittlerweile zum klinischen Standard. Die Untersuchung sichert die Diagnose und liefert dem Operateur zusätzliche Informationen über die Kniebinnensituation. Lage, Größe und Struktur des Meniskusrisses sind darstellbar. Ferner ist ein begleitendes Knochenödem als Zeichen einer aktivierten Arthrose oder einer lokalen Ernährungsstörung des Knochens erkennbar, wodurch das arthroskopische Vorgehen und die Nachbehandlung beeinflusst werden. Operateur und auch Patient werden bzgl. der Entscheidung/Indikation zum operativen Eingriff sowie der ätiologischen Zuordnung von Beschwerden vor und nach dem Eingriff entlastet.
