Possibility of strong electron-phonon interaction in double layered cuprates

The anomalies observed at low temperatures in the c-axis infrared optical conductivity of the underdoped crystals such as YBa2Cu3Ox (x = 6.5 similar to 6.8): a sudden decrease in oscillator strength of approximate to 320 cm(-1) phonon mode and an appearance of a broad band arround 400 similar to 450 cm(-1) are discussed on a viewpoint that the B-1u O(2), O(3) in-phase phonon mode can strongly couple to the holes [K. Motida, Physica B 219&220 (96) 210].
