The Research on the Pedagogical Pattern of College English Teaching-The Flipped Classroom Model

There are new requirements for English teachers and English learners in English teaching under multi-media and Internet environment. The emergence of the flipped classroom has draw people's attention. It is a type of blended learning that reverses the traditional educational arrangement of the class. English teachers should change their roles and make appropriate use of online resources. It is easier to establish good cooperation between teachers and learners by this new teaching mode. This paper intends to describe the flipped classroom model including some benefits and drawbacks. It also gives some suggestions to the application of this new model.
