摘要:
It has been a practical problem for antisense researchers to select antisense oligonucleotides (asON) with a high degree of specificity, which means no or minimum cross-hybridization to other expressed genes. This paper provides a computer program, UniAntisense, which simulates hybridization of the candidate asON with every sequence in a specified UniGene database and calculates melting temperature and free energy for each hybridizable sequence to facilitate the process of selecting optimal asON.
