摘要：
The striking success of e-Commerce has prompted many activities in the public sector. So, e-Government is full of ventures, the number of concepts and approaches multiplies and the number of projects climbs fast. It is a rather turbulent growth encouraging reflections on commonality as well as stimulating deliberations about the directions of development. Thus, the introduction to the workshop treats some essential issues of e-Government's main pillars: processes, portals and the enhancing of knowledge for both.
