摘要
This paper presents a novel substrate integrated dual-wideband magneto-electric (ME) dipole antenna for WLAN and WiMAX applications. By employing a ladder-shaped feeding structure to excite the dual-layer electric dipole radiated patches, a dual-band feature can be acquired. Besides, by using the ladder-shaped feeding structure and the printed metal via technology, the impedance matching can be easily obtained and the space configuration is more flexible. Finally, by introducing a dual-T-shaped defected ground to cooperate with the multi-layer substrates, low profile and wideband features can be enhanced. Measured results show that an impedance bandwidth of 21.5% (2.9 GHz-3.6 GHz) with a gain of 3.3 +/- 1 dBi, and an impedance bandwidth of 26.5% (4.9 GHz-6.4 GHz) with a gain of 3.7 +/- 1.6 dBi can be achieved for the lower and upper bands, respectively.
