Representations and ethnic-racial relations in school records of basic education

摘要
The article has as a background the process of public policy implementation by the State, but resulting from the struggles implemented by the black population in the educational field, as in the case of Law No. 10,639 / 03, amended by Law No. 11,645 / 08 that guides the look, observation and analysis of two public elementary schools in the city of Itapagipe / MG. Among the sources researched are the connectors of enrollments, through which it was possible to identify not only the number of pupils blacks, whites and browns met in schools researched, but the functioning of the institutional dynamics that interferes directly with the registers. In that context the paper appeared carried out by the school employees, as appropriate to the information relating to the category color/race of the students. The methodological approach included the analysis of documents, maps and resulted other advents of the application of questionnaires and of the accomplishment of interviews with different professionals of the school. The discussion is based on studies of authors such as Kabengele Munanga, Lilia Moritz Schwarcz, Thomas Skidmore, Frantz Fanon, Neuza Santos Souza, Anderson Ribeiro Oliva, Stuart Hall.
