On the Sustainable Development of Xi'an Software Services Outsourcing Industry from the Perspective of Competitiveness

Sustainable development of the software and information service outsourcing industry helps to improve the overall competitiveness of China's software industry and the services sector. Meanwhile, it contributes to the absorption and assimilation of advanced technologies, and the enhancement of the capability of independent innovation. In this context, the authors analyses the competitiveness of Xi'an software outsourcing industry from the perspective of regional industrial competitiveness. Firstly, this paper reviews the status of the development of software outsourcing industry in Xi'an. Secondly, Porter's "diamond" model is applied to conduct a comprehensive model for the industrial competitiveness analyses, identify key factors that affect the core competitiveness of software service outsourcing industry and establish an evaluation system to conduct further quantitative analysis to the factors. At the end, the authors also propose targeted recommendations to enhance the core competitiveness of the industry.
