摘要
We have tried to give a fair answer regarding the question whether Romania is a pattern of an 'atypical' model for sustainable economic development. In a post-crisis world, when everybody tries to find new solutions, Romania is facing major economic challenges due to its inner system that should be transformed. In this paper we have identified some challenges for the sustainability of the Romanian economy, we analyzed the evolutions of GDP growth rate, annual inflation rate, foreign direct investment received as % of GDP and tried to observe the competitive, sustainable and convergent nature of the Romanian economy using a diagnostic analysis.
