The Tacit Knowledge Management of Librarians Based on Library Responsibility

Librarian tacit knowledge refers to the highly tacit and personalized knowledge that forms in the process of librarians' long-term work practices. Latent intelligence capital and characteristic resources of libraries are the sources of library's core competition. However, people always pay little attention to librarians' tacit knowledge, and this is an invisible loss for librarians and the sustainable library development. In this paper, the author stresses on problems of librarians' tacit knowledge management, and puts forward several suggestions, in promoting sustainable development of libraries in the perspective of library social responsibilities.
