摘要
The authors compared two tests designed to measure specific large ganglion cell activity in glaucoma. Forty-six glaucoma patients with early to late damage, 40 glaucoma suspects, 15 ocular hypertensives, and 14 normals were tested with the Humphrey Field Analyzer (HFA) blue/yellow (b/y) full-threshold procedure and with frequency doubling technology (FDT) full-threshold test. The HFA 30-2 white/white (w/w) SITA Standard program was used as a reference standard. Both b/y and FDT showed larger mean deviation and pattern. standard deviation than w/w perimetry in all groups except for the normals. However, after a point-by-point analysis (statistical comparison with normal values) and use of a classification system, FDT was found to be much more accurate than b/y testing, as indicated by receiver operator characteristics (ROC) curve analysis.
