摘要
The paper overviews modern axial-flux permanent-magnet synchronous electric motor designs with a particular emphasis on the double-sided TORUS design with a slotted stator core. The concentrated and distributed stator windings with short end-winding lengths are presented. Differently shaped rotor permanent magnets are discussed. They are either shaped in different ways, segmented and glued together, magnetized according to the Halbach array or of a variable thickness. A comparison is made between the market available motors, according to their technical properties.
