Proposal of a Radial-and Axial-Flux Permanent Magnet Synchronous Generator

摘要
A novel hybrid-flux permanent magnet (PM) generator is proposed, which has both axial flux and radial flux. The performance of the proposed generator calculated by 3D FEM is compared with the axial machine, the radial machine and the commercialized machine. It is shown that the output power of the hybrid-flux machine with the same size and same PM volume is 8.6 times larger than that of the commercialized one.
