摘要
Distribution power generation system provides necessary electricity to the emergency services as well as remote located power consumers. The wind energy standalone distributed generator system has benefits of cost effective, quality power generated is introduced in this article to generate a controlled and quality electrical power to the directly connected standalone nonlinear load. The Permanent Magnet Synchronous machine is considered as generator because of its high-speed operation with smooth running characteristics and maintains low noise. DSTATCOM is used to maintain the voltage in all the normal and abnormal conditions and compensate power quality problems such as harmonics, reactive power and load unbalancing. The BESS is included at the DC bus of the DSTATCOM to maintain DC supply power and the load leveling. Type-A, B and C variable step-size least mean square error (VSS-LMS) control algorithms are used to operate the DSTATCOM in all operating conditions. The type-A control is excellent at monitoring the parameters changes of the system in normal and abnormal conditions. Type-B VSS-LMS control has included the another previous value of the error signal to the step signal of Type-A VSSLMS to improve the performance in the signal ripples and obtain a steady-state value. Type-C is introduced to lower the transient time to make the system to reach its steady state very quickly. All these three controls are designed to control the DSTATCOM in standalone DG system using MATLAB and compared these three type of control performance to decide a best control for the system. Type-C VSSLMS control had maintained the terminal voltage at 196 V and it took time of 0.15 s to reach the reference value when it changed from balance system to unbalance system.
