摘要
This study, for the first time, demonstrates a drip meter using Scandium Aluminum Nitride Piezoelectric MicroElectromechanical Ultrasonic Transducer(ScAlN PMUT) chip as an "ear" in intravenous infusion application. The device can effectively detect the liquid waveform change caused by the drip. A clip structure is designed to ensure good contact between the sensor and the tube wall. The signal-to-noise ratio(SNR) is up to 14.5 dB and 10 dB at 5 drips per second (dps) and 11 dps, respectively. The relative error rate at 11 dps is measured below 0.8 %. With very low power consumption, low cost and high performance, the device proves ideal for long-term, continuous intravenous drip monitoring.
