ERROR REDUCTION IN EDDY-CURRENT CONDUCTIVITY MEASUREMENTS

The electrical conductivity of metals is a very important value which gives in many cases accurate informations about material properties. A fast and simple method to determine the conductivity is to use eddy currents. The usage of this method enables a lot of possible errors. An explanation of errors depending on the metal sample and errors depending on the measurement is given in this article. Also an conductivity meter is described, which has realized technical precautions to supress most of the possible errors.
