摘要
This paper reports the results of two mail survey experiments that were conducted with design engineers. In the first study, engineers were randomly assigned to receive either a standard appeal, a sweepstakes appeal, or a sweepstakes and gift appeal. The second study revealed that including a dollar in the cover letter can vastly increase the response rate to an industrial survey. Suggestions for future researchers are offered. © 1990.
