Catalysis with TS-1: New perspectives for the industrial use of hydrogen peroxide

摘要：
TS-1 modified with Pd or Pt is an active catalyst in the oxidation of alkanes by means of H-2 and O-2. In the case of hexane, the corresponding internal alcohols and ketones are produced with selectivities on O-2 ranging between 10 and 20%. Analogously, TS-1 is an active catalyst in the oxidation of organic substrates by means of H-2 and O-2 provided that a redox couple, such as anthraquinone/anthrahydroquinone, is also present. In the case of propylene, the corresponding oxide is produced with 78% yield.
