摘要
To gain and maintain employment remains one of the most significant challenges for anybody, especially for young people with increasing levels of education. With this knowledge, the paper aims to understand and compare the intentions, resources and training and career guidance services being used by the students of the University of Murcia and the Catholic University of Cordoba (Argentina). An ad hoc questionnaire named the Questionnaire of Job Placement and Career Guidance (COIL, in Spanish) was applied for 155 students. The results show differences between both universities about strategies, resources, services and aspirations in the training and job-seeking process; however, both universities shared commonalities such as the most important things in the job-seeking process or the low participation of students with career guidance. It is necessary to transform career counseling and job training of higher education institutions and for these institutions to realize this process as a part of a student's education.
