摘要
3-Methyl-9,9a-dihydro-1H-cyclopenta[b]quinolin-2(4H)-one 1 was synthesized from squaric acid diisopropoxy ester. Key reactions involved the Pauson Khand-type rhodium-catalyzed decarbonylative cycloaddition of cyclobutenediones with a pendant alkene, and the Mitsunobu reaction.
