摘要
Rotary smoothing is ranked among final modifications of wood surface. The substance of this method consists in creating of plastic deformations of surface unevenness by pressure and heat produced by friction of rotating smooth implement. This paper deals with observation of two basic factors - smoothing speed and speed of feed in relation to roughness degradation - increase of beech wood surface smoothness by rotary smoothing. In the process of smoothing the surface quality is influenced by the secondary factors as are the moisture of wood and the number of surface smoothing, which ware the part of observation. From the reached results we can assert, that after the rotary smoothing can the roughness of beech wood be reduced about 50 %.
