摘要
NADH dependent D-lactate dehydrogenases from Lactobacillus pentosum and from Leuconostoc mesenteroides have been crystallized in their ape-forms by the hanging drop method. The L. pentosum enzyme adopts space group pi with unit cell dimensions a = 54.5 Angstrom, b = 58.2 Angstrom, c = 61.2 Angstrom, alpha = 74.4 degrees, beta = 83.9 degrees and gamma = 82.9 degrees. The L. mesenteriodes enzyme crystallizes in space group C2 with a unit cell of a = 223.2 Angstrom, b = 62.8 Angstrom, c = 143.5 Angstrom, beta = 92.4 degrees. The crystals diffract to at least 2.4 Angstrom and 3.0 Angstrom resolution, respectively, and are stable in the x-ray beam.
