A novel kinetic mechanism of aqueous-phase ozone decomposition

摘要
The mechanism of aqueous-phase ozone decomposition has been investigated. A relatively novel kinetic scheme which is able to predict the experimental behavior of ozone decompositon under a variety of operating conditions, has been obtained. By performing a sensitivity analysis of this complex mechanism, only 40% (44% for the case of pure water) of the involved reactions are required of accurately reproducing the chemistry of the corresponding kinetic scheme. The reduced mechanism obtained represents a single and a relatively simple kinetic scheme which predicts in a continuous fashion aqueous-phase ozone decomposition rates under a wide range of operating conditions.
