THE ORIENTATION ACTIVITIES IN FORMAL EDUCATION

Orienteering activities are included in the curriculum of primary and secondary school. This text reflects and contrasts the last variety in the syllabus related to the section of orienteering within the module of activities in the Nature, both in primary and secondary school. It is given a methodological view in which group activities predominate in order to achieve the basic tecniques. Although being an individual practice, the group work possibilities are wide. At the same time, the teacher must be able to design simple routes accordingly with the school surroundings, in that direction basic steps are proposed for the drawing of these routes related to the place were they have to take place. Methodological proposals that can be used as examples are included in the last part of this writting.
