ANALYSIS OF FLATNESS OF HOT ROLLED STEEL STRIP AFTER COOLING

摘要
A numerical method for the prediction of temperature and thermal stress has been developed taking phase transformations into consideration. The edge wave occurs when compressive residual stress in the edge is greater than the critical buckling stress. The residual stress is small when the transverse distributions of finishing temperature and water-cooling rate after rolling are small. Water-cooling in the latter stage of the runout table and a high coiling temperature are beneficial to reduce residual stress.
