摘要：
The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency 503 rule regulates the disposal of hazardous materials from publicly owned treatment works (POTWs). Zinc-containing treatments play a dominant role in corrosion control for potable water systems but are subject to the 503 rule limitation. This article shows how to calculate the zinc lending in POTWs and which non-zinc chemistries are applicable to potable water systems.
