The aim of this study was to quantify the scientific production on handball pedagogy of sport from the doctoral theses, of dissertations and scientific papers available electronically, free access via the Internet. The sample included 115 scientific productions, 13 Theses Doctoral and 68 Dissertations for the Handball, Theses Database available on the Capes and 34 scientific papers on the Handball, available in databases at www.scielo.br www.scielo.org and www.periodicos.capes.gov.br and that after reading the titles and abstracts of these scientific products eliminated are those that are not dealt with the object of this study, leaving just 2 scientific papers, 1 Doctoral Thesis and 7 Dissertations. Of the total scientific production presented in this paper, about handball sport pedagogy, we can say that the studies / research as a whole focuses on the issues of teaching and learning-training, of tactical situations, games, in the context of school sportscompetitions in the categories of initiation and cultural issues.
