The evaluation of the social educational competition and citizenship from the didactics of social sciences. A state of the question

An education based on skills is guiding the current European context. Although skills should be reached thanks to the contribution of all taught disciplines, it is true that each one has a remarkable value in achieving specific skills. This paper is focused on depicting the current panorama of the researches carried on in Spain in the didactic of Geography and History which are headed to develop, mainly, the social and civic skills and its assessment.
