Electronic structures of Cd1-xMnxTe films (0 less than or equal to x less than or equal to 0.7) have been investigated by means of ultraviolet photoemission and inverse-photoemission spectroscopy. We have found that the Mn 3d spin-exchange splitting energy of (7.0 +/- 0.2) eV compares well with the predicted value in the theoretical investigation of electronic structures and magnetic properties of Cd1-xMnxTe.
