摘要
Cd1-xMnxTe(x = 0, 0.1, 0.2) nanocrystals (NCs) have been synthesized by mechanical alloying Cd, Mn, and Se elemental powders for 40 h. Pure CdTe as well as Cd1-xMnxTe NCs shows strong ferromagnetism at room temperature, the saturation magnetization, and magnetic hysteresis loops increase with the content of substituting Mn ions within the Cd1-xMnxTe NCs. The magnetization of as-milled Cd0.8Mn0.2Te NCs has been much more improved in comparison with that of the bulk counterpart due to the quantum confinement effect.
