摘要：
A strain of bacteria with nitrile hydratase activity was isolated from soil. Taxonomic studies indicated that the strain 7 belongs to the genus Rhodococcus. Its nitrile hydratase was purified and crystallized (from the crude extract). The enzyme has a molecular mass of about 278,000 Da. and consists of two kinds of subunits, with molecular masses of 26,000 Da. and 32,000 Da. The enzyme was active toward various aliphatic and aromatic nitriles.
