摘要：
After a brief historical introduction, we present some details on a few illustrative examples of accepted cases of multiply imaged sources. Then we mention some results on statistical determinations of cosmological parameters (based on a large sample of data), as well as on the surface density of galaxies 'around' highly luminous quasars. Arcs, arclets, and radio rings are then briefly considered. Finally, general conclusions on the usefulness of gravitational mirages are drawn, and further reading is suggested.
