Weak lensing probes of the dark matter distribution on all scales, from galaxy-galaxy lensing (on scales of similar or equal to few h(-1)kpc) to cosmic shear (probing scales of similar or equal to 100 h(-1)Mpc), all share common data requirements: large area coverage, moderate depth, multiwavelength information, and good image quality (in terms of seeing, resolution and psf stability). As such, the NVO will provide a useful feeder for weak gravitational lensing studies, and simultaneously will benefit by archiving the types of observations obtained for lensing programs. We present two examples of lensing observations, one ongoing and one proposed, as prototypes for the type of data lensing surveys will provide for the NVO.
