New Ni(II) and Co(II) coordination polymers: synthesis, structures and magnetic properties

摘要
Using 4-(3-Carboxyphenyl)picolinic acid (H2cppa), a pyridine-carboxylate ligand to react with its relevant metal salts in the existence of a second N-donor chelating ligand 2,2'-bipyridine (2,2'-bipy) under different reaction conditions, two new coordination polymers (CPs) were produced, and their chemical formulae are {[Ni(μ-cppa)(2,2′-bipy)(H2O)]·H2O}n (1) and [Co(μ-cppa)(2,2′-bipy)(H2O)]n (2). The magnetic investigations indicate that the two compounds prepared possess the antiferromagnetic coupling between neighboring metallic ions.
