摘要
The microwave ion source has been operated as a proton injector for the 20-MeV proton linac. The microwave ion source consists of the 2.45-GHz microwave components, a solenoid magnet, a vacuum system, power supplies for beam extraction and bias electrodes, and a cooling system. The beam current was measured under various operating conditions by changing the gas flow rate, solenoid magnet current and microwave power in order to find optimum operating conditions. In this paper, the measurement results are presented, and the optimum conditions are discussed.
