Practical aspects of design of converters based on compound bipolar transistors are analyzed. The passage of a small reactive current through a compound bipolar transistor is analyzed using the example of a voltage inverter. A frequency converter with input protection is designed and loaded with an asynchronous motor at the output. © 2013 Allerton Press, Inc.
