Looks at the impact of the Minamata Convention on the use of amalgam in dentistry and its phase-down.Underlines that we need to embrace the use of alternate materials such as resin composites for restoring posterior teethHighlights the increased training need (undergraduate and CPD) in the application of posterior composites and other suitable materials for restoring posterior teeth.
