摘要
Abstract: The work discusses the method of experimental determination of the number of cutting abrasive grains on the working surface of a grinding wheel. We experimentally evaluate the value of the fraction of cutting grains from the total number of abrasive grains on the working surface of the grinding wheel, establish the dependence of this parameter on the type of abrasive material, its grain size, manufacturer fabrication technology, and compare the results with the results of other researchers. Experimental studies show that the number of cutting grains is 10–15% more than most researchers believe. Further developments will be aimed at compiling regulatory databases for use in engineering calculations. © 2023, Allerton Press, Inc.
