摘要：

The formation of a polynya downstream of a hydrostation dam during winter and the intense evaporation of water causes unfavourable conditions for people in the vicinity. Prediction of dynamics and spread are considered here. Calculation methods are examined with consideration of the conditions of ice formation at the lower boundary downstream and evaporation heat losses from the water surface. The formation of intense streaming over the length of the polynya is also considered.
