Use of the experience of operating the Kolyma and Vilyui hydroelectric stations for forecasting conditions in the lower pool of the Ust'-Srednekan hydroelectric station

The Ust'-Srednekan hydroelectric power station is the second step of the cascade of Kolyma hydrostations. An analysis was made of the changers in the ice, thermal and water level characteristics of the lower pools of the Kolyma hydrostation (210 km upstream of the Ust'-Srednekan hydrostation) and the Vilyui hydrostations on the Vilyui river, 1346 km from the mouth. The data from the Kolyma and Vilyui rivers were used to correct the forecast of ice, thermal and winter level regimes of the lower pool of the Ust'-Srednekan hydrostation.
