摘要
A redox reaction-based colorimetric method was validated for the qualitative assay and quantitative determination of paracetamol in exhaled breath condensate (EBC). Fe (III) and K3[Fe(CN)6] were used as colorimetric reagents in which paracetamol reduces Fe (III) to Fe (II) due to its reducing property. The produced Fe (II) is chelated with K3[Fe(CN)6] to form prussian blue colored product which can be detected by the naked eye in the range of 0.2–10.0 μg mL−1. The fully validated method was used for the determination of paracetamol in EBC of paracetamol poisoning individuals.
