摘要
Event-related potentials (ERPs) were used to study working memory operations in young school-children. The type of information has proved to determine the specificity of encoding and retrieval processes in working memory. The formation of the trace and its comparison with new information for phonological stimuli requires involvement of the frontal cortical areas, whereas visual patterns are characterized by an enhanced late positive complex in the caudal areas. © MAIK Nauka 2008.
